SLOW DANCE

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed?
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast
Time is short.
The music won't last

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die?
Cause you never had time
To call and say,'Hi'
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry
through your day,
It is like an unopened gift...
Thrown away.
Life is not a race
Do take it slower
Hear the music

Before the song is over.

decided to delete what i posted a few hours ago.
let it be a myth.
LOL!

i created a channel to pour out all my thoughts and stuffs.
i mean they are secrets or stuffs which may affect status quo.
i don't want anything to affect status quo, unless its for the better.

that channel contains secrets.
secrets which i didn't share even if the closest.
i means goodness sake. "SECRETS"
they are meant to be kept (within yourself).
if it is told to another person.
it's no longer a secret.

Secret may affect status quo...
like in 2012. politicians kept the upcoming? "disaster"? from the people?
i mean. Focus is on the effect after they are told to the people.
EVERYTHING CHANGED.
For the worse?

Alright. DAMN IT. If you dirty fellow is thinking about the secret being pornography or stuffs. TIME TO WASH YOUR MIND! Its disgustingly dirty. Thats like so eww please.

Hmm. Actually this post is somewhat similar to the last, just that i changed some stuffs. HAHA! Erm. Actually it's just another blog. No use finding please. Don't bother. Cause you will NEVER be able to find it. Even if so, you can't view it.
BLEAH! I need a channel. I need a space to pour out stuffs which made my mind so... erm. whats the word to use? Whirl or something. Oh. I didn't use this word before. HAHA!

I've came up with this after i was tossing and turning on my bed.
Tried to sleep at 12am. But then ended up awake for the next 2-3 hours thinking about all the stuffs. It's torturous.

cause i was woked up so EARLY.
have to take that dreary 1 hour bus.
and ultimately.
when mars hits planet, nothing gets done.
but destruction. LOL!

Perhaps next time we should go elsewhere,
which is closer to my house.
Organise somewhat at a later time.
and... SHOULD BE OUTSIDE.
Cause public, then we won't "fight". HAHA!

GOOOOSHHHH! After today, i feel that i'm SUPER behind time. XC
MATHS. The CHUNK OF MATHS. IS UNTOUCED. (p.s. not that untouched by The Veronicas for goodness sake)
And MATHS, is so difficult, dry and boring =C
I mean the assignments to complete.

Sheesh. Going off now.

shall not blog on those kind of stuffs which l blogged on during the last two =)

Today.
Went back to college for choir today =)
First time entering college with non college attire, I mean other than the visit before I really entered tpjc =P

Today.
Performed at OUB centre.
Haha! UOB and OUB.
Difficult to differentiate eh?
I mean name luh.
And they are just separated by a road =.+

We had fillet o fish on bus there =P
Sponsored by choir fund.
lol!! Actually we only paid five for choir fund,
And they used it to pay this pay that.
I think it is almost empty now, if not for those who paid and didn't go or quit choir?
I mean that's a special kind of meal you can get for such a big group kind of thing right?

Once out of bus. Something bad happened. And its Damn bad. I mean for me X(
One of my shoes splitted, I mean I don't know how to describe. Thank goodness I got feeling its gonna spoil soon, so I brought tape. Haha!!
And thank goodness only a few people know it. It's so Damn malu can =.=

settled tie that, cause there's a tie shop there which sells the same tie as what the tenor bought as a section, so don't need to borrow from wild empire peeps =P

we are introduced as salvation army choir. Omg. Haha! I mean by the mc there. We went there to sing to earn money to donate to salvation army or something?? Idk.

performed our first round.
Was Damn tired on stage can. We stood for so long before the show, and now had to continue standing =.=
I must admit. I became tired after the fifth or sixth song?? Sorry luh... No stamina. Haha!! So wasn't able to project my voice =P

After first Round. After toilet visit. I found that my other shoe is starting to spilt. Damn! Lol. Thank god it wasn't that bad that it could tahan till the second round of performance ended. I actually brought my usual shoes in case. So. Haha! I'm lucky and pro right?!?! Can predict such stuffs. Lol!!

Vp. Ms chong came to see our performance. Haha. And think she bought us the donuts. =P she's a good Vp. I mean idk how to describe how good she is luh... it is really good to see your Vp there to support the choir when they perform. And I think she doesn't put on air? Idk whether is it this word. In chinese is bu bai jia zi. hopefully she doesn't leave so soon luh...

Oh. The organisers invited our choir back for another performance. Not under salvation army... So conductor said will charge them for the performance. They said this after our first round okay...Haha!!

Oh. And observed something. First round, there was clapping by audience. Second round was no. Erm. Not no luh... Little bit.

First time I carol in my life =P since I skipped the first three. Haha!! More to come during the week after next and its really a lot please.

Gosh. That means I have to buy my leather shoes asap X(
No money liao. So must save up Damn fast and dig deeper into my piggy bank X(

Oh. Had lunch with thirteen other choir peeps. Big group Sia. All guys in black. Two other girls too, except two, who changed back to pe attire.

I think this post has? Had? Have? Got too much details that I don't want to continue or it will turn out boring, dry and my hand will be freaking tired =.=

Angus and corning!! I need you all to motivate and push me again. My engine stopped... Momentum lost X(

Thursday, December 10, 2009

well, today's post would be on a topic, combination of two, which came to my mind on the bus ride back home =)

Courtesy.
And
Boomberang.

we are taught the importance of courtesy, since young.
We are trained to be a courteous ever since we could, speak, walk and write.

Let's talk about courtesy on bus.
We are educated on this.
We were told to give up seats for the elderly.
That, I would deem it as an act of courtesy.
I am highly supportive of such acts.

This is the right thing to do.
I mean, elderly are old, and SOME, I would not use ALL since there's a fraction of them we see themselves as old, but active.
There's a chinese saying for this group: lao4 dang1 yi4 zhuang4.

imagine the old, having to stand on a crowded bus, which passes lots of turns, with some bus drivers being unable to control the brakes well...

How are they going to take it??

Well. That's not the main point that I'm trying to put across in this post.

We were told that we should treat others like how you want others to treat you. This is what people call the Boomberang effect.

I'm not sure whether it is ironic or not, you decide for yourself, that some old people are taking up two seats, even in a crowded bus. One seat for themselves and the other for their beloved plastic bags and umbrella.

I mean. This is just the minority. A super small fraction of the elderly population.

But! These small group of elderly, should should stop being so, I would say, selfish. Perhaps there are no other elderly on board, but I'm sure there are certainly some tired office workers who just knocked off, they too would wish to have the seat.

I'm not trying to say that they are 'reserving' the seat beside them for other elderly, because it simply makes little sense for such act.

this group of elderly are not setting a good role model for the young. I mean, if such act are being seen by the young, they might take that all elderly are so, thus not willing to give up their seat for the aged. This seems to somehow look like a vicious(not sure whether it is spelled this way) cycle??

Alright. This might not possibly account for all cases where the young do not give up their seats. Other reasons may include selfishness?? Alright. I have to admit, sometimes I reluctantly give up my seat to the old, cause I'm exhausted after a day of school, and long standing hours during choir. perhaps some people like me, who are tired, did not gave up their seats.

I'm not trying to flaunt the good deeds that I have done, but seriously, there could be such possibility.

To be honest, I think that I have forgotten about what I actually intend to blog, cause halfway through this post, I somehow deviated from topic, like how I did in the last.

Shall leave you to bridge the gap between courtesy and Boomberang, after this failure post.

* please take no offence, and the stuffs I mentioned are merely my thoughts, experience and opinions. I'm not trying to de-fame the aged. I'm just raising the acts done by SOME, AND I MEAN REALLY LITTLE NUMBER, of elderly. Does not represent the whole elderly population, please..

easier said than done...

O' well.
Its kind of a thought that came to my mind.
It's just like telling someone not to grieve over someone's death, cause its no point and will not help anything.
BUT, can it be easily done? No!

I mean that is one of the zillion examples which we are able to raise in life, to counter this phrase.

Right choice, right choice.

Everyone is telling each other the importance of making a right choice.
Is it easy? NO
Is it unattainable? Certainly not.

We lead different lifestyles.
We grow up in different environment.
We encounter different things.
We have different habit.
We have different level of discipline.

Although the thing about 'right choice' would GENERALLY be SAME for everyone,
But the ease of achieving it is different.
The same 'right choice' for both, take for example, a rich and a poor, to study in school.
Indeed. We would agree on the importance of education.
But. It's two different levels of attainability for this two different groups of people.
The rich, they have the money, can send their kids to the best school.
The poor, may not even have money to live through a day, it's unrealistic to talk about recieving education, for them.
or perhaps, they manage to get into a school, but they have to worry for their school fees and their living expenses.

I'm not trying to say that they should not fight for a chance for education.
But the problem here...
The rich students, can simply concentrate on studying.
The poor students, they still have to worry for their expenses.

To get educated is a right choice. But the price people have to pay for it is different. The ease of attaining this right choice is different.

I'm somehow deviating. So i shall stop this section.

My point? Everyone knows what's the right choice. everyone knows how to tell each other what should be the right choice they should take. But, certainly it is easier said than done.

I've been trying to build the link between the two, but seems to have failed. O' well, just get this point :

Making the right choice - easier said than done.

Omg. lol! I've been trying to fight back a point which i've came across (don't tell you where), in a rounded and unclear manner, so that person or author wouldn't know about it =D

A lot of things in life, we do know what's the right choice. People keep telling you what's the right choice too. But it's sometimes, easier said than done.

Wah. Damn tough. Typing such long post using a phone =S

BYE!! =D
